Poster presenters are expected to be present and available for questions and discussion during their poster session.

Important Notes: Posters should be hung up at least 30 minutes before the start of the respective poster session.

Posters must be removed one hour before the next poster session and latest at the end of the day. The Congress Organizing Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed on time.

Oral Presentation Guidelines

Symposia and single paper talk sessions are scheduled in 90 min or 120 min time slots, providing enough time for 4-5 oral presentations and brief discussions.

All conference presentation rooms are equipped with a PC computer, a beamer with HDMI and VGA connections, and microphones.

To minimize the risk for technical problems, it is recommended to use the installed PC for the presentations and to avoid switching computers during symposia. There will also be technical help at the beginning of each session. Presentation files can be uploaded on the available computer via an USB 2.0 connection.

If you prefer to use your own laptop, you must bring your own power adapter (Swiss plugs). Symposium chairs are responsible for assuring that all contributions will be ready for immediate presentation at the beginning of the sessions. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that presenters send their presentation to the symposium chairs before the symposium and that the symposium chair uploads all talks.

Presentation Timing: Within each symposium or single paper talk session, depending on the scheduled time and number of speakers, each talk is given 15 to 20 minutes of presentation time. We recommend that you reserve at least 5 minutes per talk for discussion. Plan to arrive at your assigned session room 15 minutes before your session is scheduled to begin. You should also check your presentation prior to your session.

Preparing your Presentation:

Symposium presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) formats. The available PC computers are equipped with the necessary software. For optimal results, create your presentation using a 4:3 aspect ratio. Use standard fonts, such as Times New Roman, Helvetica, or Arial. Unusual fonts may not translate to the computer used for presenting.

If necessary, the beginning of the presentation should include a slide disclosing any financial or other conflicts of interest to the audience.

Important Note: If you want to use the installed PC computer, as recommended, please test your presentation on a separate PC-compatible computer to ensure that fonts are standard and components, such as movies, have been included rather than merely linked.
